I noticed that on this page of Practical Typography that the double quotes protrude in the margin. I noticed in the source that this is done with a special dquo-open-pull element. Does Pollen insert these automatically? Or is that done with a custom processor?
That comes from a decode function called make-quotes-hangable, which is documented here.
